6.1 No Self, No Samsara: Cause‑Effect Unfolds, No One Is Bound
6.1 No Self, No Samsara: Cause‑Effect Unfolds, No One Is Bound
【Insight】
People fear cause‑effect because they dread punishment; they cling to reincarnation because a "Self" wants to endure. This fear and clinging are the most typical forms of "mind at work."
【Reality】
Cause‑effect is the objective law of energy conservation in the universe---as sowing leads to reaping. Samsara is the inertial cycle generated by "attachment." When the "Self" vanishes (i.e., abiding in No‑Mind), the play of cause‑effect continues on stage. Seeds still bloom, debts are still repaid. But the difference is: with no "actor" performing, there is no one bound by ropes. You still repay, but like a breeze through bamboo---cause‑effect occurs through you, yet cannot hold you.
