8.1 The City of Illusions: The Birth of Body and "I"
【Insight】
Without the projection of "mind at work," there is no "I."
The physical lives and the reincarnations of all things in the world are essentially "preset characters" in this great play.
【The Metaphor of Snow White】
Imagine the character of "Snow White." Within her story, she must eat, sleep, experience emotions, and tend to her physical health. Within that narrative, she firmly believes that "I" am real and exist as a solid entity. In truth, Snow White's entire body and her concept of "Self" are merely illusions created by a dream or a brushstroke. To the creator---or the awakened observer---that character has never "truly" existed. Each of us is the "Snow White" in our own story, until we awaken from within No‑Mind.
