9.1 Knowing Without Moving: Non‑Suppressive Awakening
9.1 Knowing Without Moving: Non‑Suppressive Awakening
【Insight】
No‑Self, No‑Mind, and Non‑Attention are by no means the suppression of perception. It is not about closing your eyes and ears or becoming like dead wood or cold ashes.
【Reality】
True "Non‑Attention" means not actively seeking to perceive. Self‑Nature is like a high‑dimensional mirror; it inherently possesses the function of reflecting whatever appears---whether a Buddha or a mundane object.
You don't need to strive to observe; all things manifest within you naturally. This "knowing without moving" is precisely the illuminating function of No‑Mind.
【Ancient Wisdom】
The Śūraṅgama Sūtra states: "To establish knowing within knowing is the root of ignorance; to know without fixation on seeing---that is Nirvāṇa."
