9.2 The Body: A Tool Limited by "Mind at Work"

9.2 The Body: A Tool Limited by "Mind at Work"

【Deep Reflection】
Humans are accustomed to perceiving the world through the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and body. But you must recognize: the body is merely a sensory tool projected by the Self‑Nature within this material realm. To rely on the tool is to be limited by the tool. When you believe that you can only "see" through your physical eyes, you have already shackled yourself.

【Sharp Reflection】
Many practitioners mistakenly believe that "shutting down the senses" is meditation. Yet true stillness is when all senses are fully open---and the mind abides nowhere. This is precisely the samadhi of No‑Mind.

We are accustomed to thinking "I have a body," and perceiving the world through it. But a deeper truth is: The body itself is consciousness's most intricate and solidified projection and identification. The entire human body is a phenomenon formed by projection. The most direct evidence lies in liminal experiences: in near‑death experiences or sleep paralysis, when individuals temporarily lose physical control of the body, they often experience the "self‑awareness" floating away, with a clear, intense sensation of needing to "re‑enter" or "refocus" back into the body to regain control. This reveals a fundamental law: your ability to control the body is not because you are it, but because your attention (consciousness) is currently highly focused on and identified
with this projected form. The body and the conscious energy controlling it are, in essence, two different things. The so‑called "I" is merely the act of focusing, not the image being focused upon. Therefore, the body is not me; it is merely the tool and interface temporarily utilized by the conscious act of "I." To rely on the tool is to be limited by the tool. When you believe that you can only "see" through your physical eyes, you have already shackled yourself.
